Call of Duty 3 was another pleasant surprise. Despite the somewhat low-res graphics, a thoroughly immersive and engaging game is lurking beneath the pixellated textures - we
had a lot of fun playing this. The control system is similar to Red Steel, albeit seemingly easier to get to grips with - the nunchuck is shaken to change weapons, the D-pad is used to throw
grenades ( not the nunchuck, as previously thought ), and the remote is used to look around and aim. It's fairly confusing to start off with, but after a brief tutorial
sense seems to slide in and the game really starts to kick off.
Admittedly, there's no multiplayer, and the graphics are incredibly poor when compared to the 360 version of the game, but it's actually an incredibly fun shooter that we'd love to spend a bit more time
with. You can get past the graphical flaws, mainly because the controls are so good. We're hoping to play this title more so stay tuned for another
playtest.
